When can I start oral capsule treatment for my cat?

For  best treatment results, use oral capsules after 30 days of vials treatment or after your cat’s condition has stabilized, eating and pooping normally, and doesn’t display any neurological symptoms.

When not to use oral capsules?

While your cat still exhibits ocular or neurological symptoms or suffers from intermittent vomiting or diarrhoea. If the cat is not eating and requires force-feeding or subcutaneous (SQ) fluid administration.

How to choose the right type of oral capsule for my cat?

Choose the oral capsules according to your cat’s current weight (Every 10mg for 1kg of cat’s weight)

1kg – 1 quarter of 40mg tablet per day

2kg – Half of 40mg tablet per day

3kg – 1 tablet of 30mg per day

4kg – 1 tablet of 40mg per day

(Please round up to the nearerst kg. Please double the dose for Ocular and Neuro FIP)

How many times should I feed the medicine to my cat?

1 time a day, at regular intervals. Do not skip any day. Continue until 84 days or when all FIP symptoms have disappeared.

What should I do if my cat gained weight but the oral capsule that I purchased before is for cats that is below my cat’s current weight?

You should switch to the higher concentration of the oral capsule for your cat’s new weight. For example, if your cat’s weight has increased from 2.4kg to 2.8kg, it is recommended to increase the dosage to suit 2.8kg. This ensures that your cat is provided with sufficient active pharmaceutical ingredients for its treatment.

How many tablets do 1 strip of tablets contain?

One strip contains 10 tablets.

What should I do if my cat does not show improvement after using oral capsules?   Can I give him two pills per day?

Lack of improvement or deteriorating conditions are caused by either insufficient dosage or poor absorption by your cat’s digestive system. You should provide at least 5 days of oral capsules before determining whether there is a lack of improvement. After 5 days if there is no visible improvement of symptoms, you may increase dosage from 1 oral capsule to 2 oral capsules per day, or switch to a higher concentration of oral capsule. The best option is to  switch to vials. Vials are the most reliable method of delivering an appropriate dose of active pharmaceutical ingredients to your cat’s body.

How do I know the amount of GS that my cat will absorb?

Each cat has a different absorption rate for the oral capsule, based on genetics and health factors. The exact absorption can only be determined via a complex and expensive diagnostic procedure called HPLC analysis.

Is Oral capsules a better choice compared to Vials?

Each treatment option has its pros and cons. Both treatment options are effective against feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) infections. Vials are precise and more not subjected to absorption issues. The effects are immediate. We recommend starting all feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) treatments with vials. Oral capsules are easier to administer, cause no pain, and can be done easily at home. However, GS-441524 will take longer to travel to the bloodstream because it first has to go through the digestive system. It is also impossible to know how much of the GS-441524 is absorbed by the body to combat FIPV. We recommend starting oral capsules treatment only after your cat’s condition is stable. Feline infectious peritonitis virus often damages digestive organs such as the stomach, intestines, kidneys and liver as it spreads throughout the body. Damaged organs reduce digestive functions and will cause poor absorption of FipMed into the bloodstream.  When oral capsules are given too early in the treatment, it may cause prolonged treatment or higher chances of relapse in the future.

Can I switch back vials treatment after I started oral capsule treatment?

You may switch back to vials after starting oral capsule treatment.

My cat has relapsed, can I use oral capsules to treat him/her?

We do not recommend using oral capsules for relapsed cases. You should use vials and provide between 12mg-15mg for relapse treatments. Please consult us on how to properly treat relapsed FIP cases.

How long does it take for my cat to show improvement?

Normally cats will show improvement within 10-15 days of oral  treatment. Some cats will show improvement within as little as 5 days.

Why is oral treatment more expensive than vials?

Oral capsules require higher concentration of the active pharmaceutical ingredient GS-441524 to treat FIPV when compared to vials. Production of oral capsules is also more complex and time consuming compared to vial. These factors caused the price of oral capsules to be higher than vial.

Are there any side effects when using FipMed oral capsule treatment?

There are no known side effects when using our oral capsule.  You may use it in conjunction with other treatments and supplements recommended by your veterinarian.

What if I cannot feed my cat oral capsule daily at the same time every day?

For best results the oral treatment should be administered within a 3 hour window from the time of the previous day, 1.5 hours before or 1.5 hours after the previous day.

Can I return unused capsules for a refund?

We do not accept opened and/or partially consumed oral capsule packages. We recommend donate unused oral capsules to your veterinarian or other FIP cat owners so they may use the capsules to help save cats.

(Niels Pedersen NC, 2018).

My Publius had ultrasound and blood test . It looks he may have FIP. My other cats in the past were tested and came out positive to feline coronavirus and negative to FIV and FELV. I purchased this meds and started treatment right away. It was costly but definitely worth the result. Will continue to help my kitties and return their health back to normal!

One of our cats has been diagnosed with wet FIP, she is 1 and a half years old.

She was adopted 10 months ago, so we think maybe she got infected when she was still living in the streets.

We are living in Spain and we are looking for treatment but we don’t know where to start.

The FipMed pills started when a local vet introduced us to this so we give it a try.

I can’t believe my eyes how its health improve in just a few days. Will definitely continue this treatment!

Our girl was at the brink last Thanksgiving and now she is happy and healthy! The injection treatment is the best (especially from FipMed)

We got the diagnosis that our cat Walter has dry FIP. He has been struggling the past couple days and we have been trying everything to get him better. We just started doing tablets treatment if it’s not too late. He is just under a year old and has been fighting a fever and lack of appetite. I am keen to continue if these pills are proven to be as effective as how the reviews are.

Our girl was at the brink last Thanksgiving and now she is happy and healthy! Thanks to the pills working like magic!

Camo was cured 11/16/22. My daughter works at a vet & one veterinarian is studying to get certified in ultrasound. They did a ultrasound on Camo & there was fluid in abdomen!! 😭😭😭

My daughter texted:

saw some possible fluid in abdomen during ultrasound. i’m gonna get camo healthy exam and senior labs while he’s here. Is the relapse normal after taking meds?

Verificado

Ours has been cured over two years, wet FIP. She is back to normal for her…….she’s a bit of a unique cat personality wise lol……..only issue she has is a huge aversion to needles so we chose pills for her.

Verificado

My cat has low neutrophils (even 1 year post cure), however I don’t believe that was necessarily from GS treatment. Other than the value on the lab result and injection, he’s a totally healthy and normal cat (other than being spoiled which IS a direct result of his surviving FIP 🤣).

My little man Rudy just got diagnosed with FIP yesterday after about a month of vet visits. After some research we thought this medicine tablet seemed to be the best path to helping him and supporting his journey. He is about a year old and we have only had him for a few months now so we are really eager to get him feeling better.

Verificado

Our tiger has been diagnosed with FIP.

Our family is distraught..

We just got back from the vet today, and everything is overwhelming till I research and found this meds.

I just want the best for tiger and after reading all reviews I am getting tablets for tiger.

Please wish for Tiger to get through this!

I always just thought I was a dog person. Never even dated anyone who had cats. (Specifically because if they had a cat, they weren’t my type)

We went to my sisters house, and her cats were on the counter! My husband and I were grossed out. How could we eat anything when the cat had been in the litterbox and then walked on the counter???

Well, we were about to get the surprise of our lives. Enter Dennis. We found him one day. I was going to get a tire fixed, as the people were shooing this little orange kitten out of the tire place. I couldn’t think fast enough to tell them I’d take him, so he ran off, scared.

I went home and got my husband. We found the little orange kitten, alone, starving.. we got him into a kennel, got him home, and completely fell in love.

Dennis was a rascal. We quickly realized he needed a brother to burn off his energy. So we brought home Percy. Percy and Dennis quickly became frenemies, so we decided to bring home Milo.

We really thought we were done. Perfect balance three dogs, and three cats, but the universe had other plans for us.

I get a text from my mother, who lives on the beach, with bald eagles everywhere. A little black kitten had gotten hit by two cars, bounced off their tires. Her neighbor stopped to help, but the kitten ran under his truck, terrified. He couldn’t find it, so he went home. The next day, he drove about 150 miles. When he got home, a kitten popped out from under his hood.

He was allergic, so this little scared baby was just running around, being eaten by mosquitoes. He could have been eagle food at any moment. He needed us.

So now we have four cats, six litterboxes, cats on the counter. Cats everywhere. A shredded couch. A shredded recliner. I eat toast with butter and a few little cat hairs. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am in love, completely, maybe for the very first time in my life.

I research cat behavior, nutrition, health. I woke up to a lady saying her vet recommended for her to euthanize her baby due to FIP. My mother is a chiropractor and I’ve helped humans and animals find supplements that have cure incurable things. I thought that there must be something that could be done.

I need to learn as much as I can, so I can direct myself or others to all resources available. Till I found FipMed. I am now recommending this to the lady and helped in terms of financial. I believe it worked when I saw how the kitties running at the backyard. I am glad I found FipMed!

Rawlie, she is 9 months old and she was highly suspected to have FIP yesterday and today most of her blood work came back all pointing toward FIP. We are still waiting on labs for a sample of fluid they took from her abdomen to triple check.

I noticed she had slowly started losing weight and sleeping a little more. I had taken her to the vet a couple weeks ago to check on her, but she seemed fine to them. A little under weight, but not sickly the doctor said. Since before I took her to the vet I have been feeding her wet food and she would go crazy for it, but Saturday night I noticed that she wouldn’t really eat, so we locked her in our bathroom Sunday to try to get a fecal and keep a eye on her, so her siblings wouldn’t eat her food and no luck. So, thankfully yesterday we were able to drop her off and found out it was suspected FIP.

Thankfully our doctor has a contact for someone that has treatments locally and a coworkers friend that just treated her kitty as well. Also started feeding her last night through a syringe a little bit to get her some nutrients. Hopefully this meds work like what I have read in the reviews.

Verificado

It’s not without challenges but it is so worth it! My little survivor Tucker has been cured for over a year now! We were minutes away from euthanasia at the ER Vet when I got connected with FipMed. So glad people recommended the vials and they were there in my moment of desperation trying to find a glimpse of hope.

Verificado

I can’t do injection anymore. My cat has been on it for 32days. He is much better, and eating really good. It hurts him too much and taking pills is doable. I’m going to chance it, and hopefully he beat this virus.

Verificado

Our POOH baby is out of observation and doing great thanks to the pills. It was a long painful and expensive ordeal but worth it.

Verificado

My girl is over the top spoiled, and after what she has been though I will definitely cont. She did get a lot of treats during treatment, but with that she learned how to sit, shake, and let’s me brush her teeth. I am really thankful such meds exist.

Verificado

My Jasper is cured now. I was referred to this meds from a rescue that was treating a kitty. My vet had originally said there was nothing we could do for Jasper, but he now knows the treatment works and has another FIP patient.

Verificado

I’m on day 42 of my treatments. My name is DT tell Mom to start getting your meds and make sure she gives you a squeeze up, when she gives you that mean pill.

Verificado

Our Lady survived through meds and she is better than she was before the FIP treatment, she acts like a kitten again romping all over the place and now keeps me on a routine with her morning and night lol

Verificado

Just my suggestion for those whose feeding with pills: I use cyproheptadine which is an old drug but I find it works well on my Birmans. It’s in pill form and we do half a pill 2xa day. I put all pills in gel caps so they go down easier and kitty doesn’t taste nasty meds.

Verificado

We were told no hope. When Crosby started exhibiting symptoms in March of this year, through a random search that led me to a Reddit group….led me here, FipMed. We met the most amazing people that had come together to help cats! We were connected quickly with someone to receive emergency meds, who happened to be the best vet ever. Our life the last 6 months….11 months has been a whirlwind. Not only have we now lost Geno and Crosby, but we lost our older cat Petunia(aka Tuna!) in November, but also our old gal Fleury in June. Our hearts are heavy, but I have learned so much about FIP and the treatment in the last 6 months. I look forward to the day that treatment is not as difficult to obtain, and people are given more hope.

Though this is the first time in 24 years our home has no kitties, I won’t be going anywhere. Geno and Crosby want me to fight on, and that’s what I shall do. Education, assistance, injections and cheer squad…all for my perfect ginger boys 🧡🧡

Verificado

My Chloe is six months cured. I remember getting the prognosis when she got sick. But my vet told me about the FIP medicine, that it could save her life but may be expensive. Within 48 hours, she had her pills and she’s now a happy, healthy 2 yo.

Verificado

We are seeing amazing results after just 5 days of pills. Our baby went from laying in my lap all day being syringe fed and given water via syringe to eating an drinking happily even ravenously and running everywhere playing with our other 2 older kittens. Her temperature went down to normal. She’s gotten very vocal again and is already gaining back some weight. Her coat is getting nice again and we feel very good about how she’s doing. Just amazing turnaround.

Verificado

We are on day 20!! Just thought I’d give an update on our progress. It’s crazy how much she is returning to her old self(sour patch girl) a little more each passing day 😀 I am going to do everything for her to get meds and syringes. I’ll work hard for it and her progress will be a blessing 🥰

Verificado

Sedonia is a rescue from Cyprus and it all started back at easter when her tummy ballooned up one afternoon. They wanted to put her to sleep. The pill treatment wasn’t easy but you have to keep going with it. She now has a few weeks left of her observation before she can be declared cured. There is hope and very soon I will be able to say she is a FIP survivor 🐾❤️

Verificado

I adore dilute calico kitties. The meds work quickly. Hope she starts eating and bouncing back real soon. Our kitty improved so much in just a few days.

Verificado

My kitty HATED all food in general. I tried EvERyThiNG: wet, dry, broth, toppers, freeze dried, raw, whatever. She’d have none of it. And then? Somewhere mid-way through treatment, she decided that she’d really been missing out. Food wasn’t so bad after all. In fact, not only wasn’t it bad, ALL FOOD WAS THERE FOR THE TAKING. She went from being the “pickiest little Ms. Picky” to “Feed Me Food Now and Forever.” I’m here to share with everyone that we are all doing this for our precious little kitty. Let’s do our best to combat FIP!

Verificado

Our baby is very sick with it and we’re catching hopefully 🤞🏻 just in time. Monday we were told we had to say goodbye to him. That he only has 1 week left to live and that could still very much be the case that was just 2 days ago. We’re now on day 2 of his pills. I hope to see more progress and hopefully the health will be back to normal.

Verificado

My cat coco is 4 years cured. She is sneezy but overall perfect. Chico is 3years cured no issues. Lucy is a year cured treated for wet then neuro which she has stunned growth, she is 4lbs at 1.5 years old. Turk 6m cured constant sneezing. The pills really work like magic.

Verificado

Is everyone’s baby greatly improved? I hope so. And my boy was greatly improved within 9 hours. I love this meds sooo much.

Verificado

My Luna was in the verge of death. She had a 106.8 fever and spent a whole day in the hospital being monitored. Her retina detached in her right eye and was scheduled for an enucleation the next day.

My vet told me to cancel and begin treatment asap. I drove 1 hour each way to get her meds for the first few days.

I used almost all my down payment for a home, worked OT and began a side hustle and I would do it all over again if it assured me the same results and her health.

This medicine has been tested and continues to be studied hence I totally trust this. It’s worth every penny in my opinion.

Day 2 and 3 he finally has his color back, he cried for his wet food, he gained weight, his haws syndrome seems gone and he has a tiny bit of interest in his toys in the morning. hes still so tired tho which is okay. He loves to eat his wet food with water so much while we add in his tablets it’s so much easier and a great distraction for him. He loves his churu squeezies, pumpkin, chicken, and he drinks alot more water now 🩷 I’m so proud of him he’s a strong little boy. On Monday he was 3.8 pounds today he’s 4.1 👏🏻

My chico baby is almost 7 months now !😻 today is day 23 of treatments which means we’re almost at 30 day blood work woot woot !

it took us a few months with lots of visits , testing , & medications to figure out wet FIP is what was actually affecting him ! at that point he was not eating on his own (being forcefed) & wanted nothing to do with anybody ! it took potbelly to finally diagnose him ! but by day 3/4 of pills progress & continues making more day by day making me tear up most days !!!

My Shiloh and she is about 1 1/2 and she was diagnosed with the Wet form of FIP this past Wednesday. She is on meds and has had fluid removed from her lungs twice in the last 3 days. She seems to be doing better tonight than she did when she got fluid removed the first time. I was told by the vet today I should just put her down but I know she has the will to survive. I need help making sure I am getting the right treatment and doing things right for her. Thanks FipMed!

My sweet 12 years old baby was very recently diagnosed with wet FIP. She is stable, eating and drinking water but having difficulty to breath. We started her on FipMed (tablet form) 5 days ago and I am waiting for speed recovery. Let’s wish the best for my purry baby!

My suggestion: someone in a support group told me to try coconut oil on her capsule as she wasn’t easy to pill. I put a dab on a plate put the pill in it covered with another dab and she just ate the pill. No more fighting spitting it out and holding her mouth til she swallows. That is fabulous info.

Mochi is over 2 years cured. Completely healthy & our vet said she would never have known he was sick. She helped monitor his progress during treatment & continues with our annual well check.

Cathy shows no signs of any issues a year after treatment finished. I had to say, I really relied on the tablets a lot. Even bloodwork numbers that weren’t quite right at the end of treatment normalized completely by 3 months later.

My cat is underweight but eating lots, bloated belly, diarrhea, was misdiagnosed as thyroid issues. Rescued from streets in November, this all started 2 months ago. I have 9 other rescue cats. Stanley (the cat ) is still snuggling, eating well, playing, just sign of discomfort once a day or so. I’m from rural Australia. Vet suggested euthanasia on the spot just recently. So my friend and I brought him home and we are researching until we found FipMed and how effective it is to Stanley! Everyone should try this shots rather than reserving to euthanasia.

Verificado

It works remarkably fast (then you stay on for the full course of treatment) or it won’t work at all. There’s very little in between. At least that is what I have heard. So everyone please be in track though you feed them with pills. The treatment has to be consistent! My baby feel better and as he does he will fight (the meds burn but they work).

It’s totally worth it to buy to beat FIP in a cat this young.

Earlier in March, I was visiting relatives in Iran and found two extremely friendly and not in so much good shape kittens near a dumpster. I tried to feed them and they followed me to where I was staying. I noticed that the girl was deteriorating fast and decided to take her to a pet hospital and that’s when she was diagnosed with FIP. Even though I had only recently seen these two, I formed a deep bond with them especially with the girl with FIP. I couldn’t just close my eyes and walk away and decided to put her through the pills treatment. It was not easy because I live in the US and I had to oversee everything from a very long distance.

This beautiful girl, now called Lena, pulled through the treatment like a champ even though she had other health issues. She had mouth and gum issues and had almost all her teeth extracted but she kept fighting and started improving. She did well enough to be discharged after 84 days and as soon as I heard the news, I arranged my flight to go get her and bring her home with me. I obviously was not going to put her at risk and check her in as cargo. I booked my flight with Lufthansa and got her a ticket in cabin. I spent so much time and energy and of course money getting her pet certificate and passport and finally everything was ready. I am just too thankful, now telling everyone how effective these pills are. So everyone, please don’t give up on your pet!

My little guy has pretty severe dry, neurological FIP with a completely separate diagnosis of dual ear infections brain abscess to boot. Three weeks ago, he’d declined to the point he could barely pull himself in and out of a cat bed. I thought I was going to lose him.

It’ll be three weeks tonight since his first pill, and his recovery is already astonishing! Within a few days, he was eating and drinking with gusto and starting to walk a little again. Today he is running and jumping around the house, playing “tag” with my other cats (he runs up, bops them with a paw and runs away 🤣), following me everywhere and playing up a storm. (He’s almost 9 months, so still very much a kitten.)

The medicine is truly a miracle drug, as far as I’m concerned. I have every faith that your sweet little love will recover and have many happy years ahead of her. So glad I am here. 💚

My boy showed mild symptoms but we were unable to pin it down until a few months later when he started a sharp decline. Within a week, he was barely eating and his belly had swelled up. I started pills as soon as I got a confirmation from the ER/specialist and within 24 hours he was back home. They were happy to send him away because he was harassing the staff (they weren’t spending ALL night petting him) and literally climbing his cage walls. Within a week, he was eating normally and has continued to improve each day/week. We are halfway through treatment.

Your timeline will vary depending on factors I don’t understand, but this stuff helps. It’s hard, but worth it!

The pills gives me hope. Our Mini had some abnormal labs half through observation but clinically, she’s doing great! So I hope the pills will continue to improve Mini’s health 🙏

It made me laugh and put a huge smile on my face again thanks to these wonderful pills! We have 5 cats and they run the house. We have Chummy who is 16 from my first litter of 3 brothers he is the only one left and kicking strong. Then we got pumpkin and snarf 2 christmases ago as a gift to my son when they were 6 weeks old. Then a year later I saw sparkles and cheddar in a cage at petsmart and it broke my heart they were caged up so they came home with us too. Cheddy is 7.5 weeks into observation! I live in a house full of hairy boys, my husband, my human son and our 5 furry boys and I wouldn’t have it any other way! 💗🐈🐈‍⬛💗

My kitty just finished week two of pills. I am still in the whirlwind of information but she is doing better. Prayers for my baby!

Our baby I guess has been showing very mild symptoms for the last few months, just a cough. Just last week she started having difficulty breathing. I hope we caught it early enough! It’s okay, I started FipMed tablet in her food and slowly she started grooming herself. The result is quite fast and I can’t wait for it to recover fast!

Captain always was a picky eater from the day we got him. But we think he was already poorly then. Rescue told us what foods he ate…supposedly. He didn’t. Perhaps nobody noticed his bowl was still almost full? When he got FIP, it was exhausting. One bite here, one bite there…no canned foods. His Hills kibble, steamed chicken or trout or salmon, mixed with goat milk. I tried everything. It does get better… slowly. He still eats only kibble and puree rotisserie chicken 🐔 But at least the pills are working and now he’s in good health!

My Bukowski. Cured since May 2021. I didn’t believe this nor I am familiar with FIP. But I researched till I found here. Glad that I invested for Bukowski!

My boy is healed 2 and a half years now and doing great! He had dry FIP and I was told to put him down. I’m so glad I chose life for him.

My cat has been cured for almost 3 years after injection and the only side effects are that he’s a bit more skittish and he can be very aggressive to other animals and at times, humans 😕 he is a ragdoll and he used to be super loving and trusting but I am just glad he’s alive

My cat just got diagnosed with FIP 3 days ago and we’re now Day 2 of treatment. Prior to this, Blathie was confined due to Giardiasis. She was puking occasionaly and lost appetite. Now she’s eating better and hasn’t puked until tonight.

I quickly bought these pills and will receive them soon. I hope the best for my cat!

My suggestion to all those going through treatment. Catnip sometimes helps with tummy issues and to stimulate their appetite. Tiki cat makes something called “Baby Thrive” in little pouches that cats go bonkers for – not a complete meal but super high calorie supplement that might get her going enough to want to eat more eventually. Other high calorie supplement paste/gel like Under The Weather and Nutrical (or similar) would be super beneficial to keep the nutrition up while troubleshooting, too. My cat ate those with pills. It helps a lot!

I had two cats who survived fip, both did this FipMed pill form. One of them I was convinced he wasn’t going to make it, he was lifeless, cold and frail. He was such a fighter and is now doing amazing. I’ve seen so many success stories, don’t give up before the miracle happens

my 5 month old kitten possibly has FIP. I took him to see a mobile Vet clinic and the vet said they couldn’t take any blood tests bc they aren’t set up for that but she thought it was FIP or Feline Leukemia but she thought it more likely to be FIP bc his stomach is swollen. So I bought pills and have been feeding her twice a day. It is working because the my kitten’s appetite, energy and goofiness are back!

Our Shiloh hasn’t started running and playing again. I am so ready for that to happen. She is on day 5. Doing much better though thanks to the pills.

Found out recently that my sweet 2yo Matilda “Tilly” has FIP. She’s down two lbs doesn’t want to eat much, is super lethargic, has elevated globulins and proteins, and x-ray shows a large amount of fluid around her lungs.

Going in tomorrow for a Rivalta test to finalize our diagnosis, wait for the pills and will then begin treatment ASAP. Thanks to the ones recommending FipMed!

My luci has dry fip. One day he didn’t want to eat, had a slight fever, and just wanted to sleep. My vet said it was fip. So i started him on pillsand within 7 hours of the first one, he was grooming, eating and moving around. By day 5 he was completely back to normal. It really does help.

Verificado

FIP is such a hard process and a lot of people don’t understand the love we have for these cats. My cat and I made it through FIP but he has a lot of residual issues that impact our daily life but I wouldn’t stop trying for anything. The bond I have with him is so strong. It was stressful and anxious dealing with my own life, cat’s painful suffering and at work. Damn, I have been through this with the help of FipMed pills… Those days are still fresh in my mind…

My name is Lincoln. I’ve been cured for more than 4 years. Mom says I was handsome before but now I am handsome and plush. Very plush. This is because I was injected with FipMed. Their vials are superb 😀

Thanks to Fipmed, kitty back to normal except for a few bald spots from scars due to scabbing. They make him look tough 🙂 cured 3/2023

NOT a death sentence!!!

170 days ago I was nervous, scared, sad and felt like I was doing shady sh!t! Here we are injections, bites, pills, tears and spending ££ but damn it was so worth it.

We were almost too late! We adopted Gizmo summer 2022, fevers, appointment after appointment, multiple antibiotics, eye drops, you name it Gizmo just wasn’t getting better from what we thought was an upper respiratory infection and/or cat flu. Gizmo was found in a field of cows, possibly trampled so we all just assumed his poorliness was from his rough start to life. Our vet ran bloods and gave us the diagnosis of FIP. What the hey is FIP?? Our vets pointed us to FIPMED and here we are 5 months later with a cured Gizmo. 🖤🤍

Dear FipMed thank you, thank you, thank you. I will never be able to tell you enough or repay you.

Before he got sick, one of Walty’s favorite things was after shower cuddles. Less then 24 hours after his first injection, Walty is already back to his hobby 😊 he still is a bit wobbly, but he is also on some medication we are weaning him off of that is used to induce hunger that can cause this. The vet gave him a week to live and I can’t believe that was even an option to consider for my lovable baby. Stay strong Walter, you got this! 💪

Verificado

My Olwyn is on FipMed. I know the injections are the preferred route but they just weren’t a viable option for us. I’m glad to hear that other cats have done well with pills.

Verificado

My 4 month kitten had neuro FIP. Didn’t test went straight to vials and they worked by 3rd day. Sadly proved drug resistant but used another drug in capsules (FipMed yeah) and after 10 weeks blood is super clear and I have a kitten now. If I hadn’t started straight away my vet says he would have been gone in the week. It’s hard and emotional too, but to see his joy now is worth everything.

I was wondering if anyone is on the same boat as me. My cat started daily injections for FIP 11/23/2021. She relapsed and restarted treatment on 6/6/2023. Same medication. Her numbers kinda stayed the same the last part of her treatment so we increased her dose. 2 weeks later, her globulin went from 5.4 to 5.8, the opposite of what we wanted. So now she’s on FipMed tablets, 3/4 twice a day. I’m really scared. She’s gonna get labs 2 weeks in but what happens if she’s worse? I don’t want to lose her. 🥺

Verificado

Guess what after injection? Cured for 15 months! The only “side effect” that stuck around is that his fur grew back white where the sores used to be. He’s also extremely spoiled and bonded with me lol

Do not put your cat down! In January my Vet told me that I should euthanize my cat! But I didn’t. Tigger is still alive and kicking! The pill treatments work!

Verificado

Do not put your cat down! Trust your gut! Several vets and the ER wanted to put my Captain down. He had wet fip. It was hard but now he is our favorite mini monster and sailor cat 🐈 Thanks to the pills!

My kitty pixie came down with FIP. For a couple months she lost weight and had diarrhea and some vomiting, then her eye changed color. I had her looked at and eventually was told it was FIP. She is on her 17th day of treatment. It’s been emotionally and financially devastating. Even though I give her lots of love and treats, she has become traumatized with her injections, even with gabapentin. When it’s time for her injection she shakes and buries her face in my arms.

Pixie is a small, very affectionate, shy and sweet kitty. She gently taps me when she wants attention. She puts her paw on my face and gives me kisses. 💕 I know how painful it is but the shots have been really helpful. I will continue to do this until it is completely healed!

Relapse happened to us. Then we dealt with three relapses between our two Legends. It was upsetting but we persevered and they are 12&18 months cured now and doing fantastic!

Verificado

We’re on day 71 of observation, she was diagnosed with Wet thoracic FIP lung area…she’s doing great and back to her old self . I stayed with lucky 30 pills the whole way through to feel like it worked best… prayers for everyone baby kitty!!

Our Legend #2 went through 84 days of GS injections, relapsed on day 4 of observation and did an additional 56 days pills at a higher dose. He relapsed again on day 82 of his second observation with obvious neurological symptoms. We then did 84 days of EIDD for GS resistance.

Drake is 12 months cured now and doing amazingly well.

Verificado

I’m using pills and my Olwyn is doing well, but pills are not appropriate for all types of FIP. Choose what kind of treatment is going to work best for your baby.

Verificado

My cat was on GS injections but after 1st week no further improvement. Was advised to continue for 1 month but was drug resistant. Started on FipMed twice daily and had electrophoresis test after 5 weeks. His bloods are excellent. He had neuro FIP. I continued tablet form for further 2 weeks and now been off for 4 days so earlier than 84 days. Watching him like a hawk. GS probably saved his life, but FipMed has given him a new good life and alot less stress for both of us.

Verificado

We are fortunate to have a vet here in Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 who is running a case study trial treating FIP with pills. His success rates are very comparable to treatment with injections. Pills have been shown to be a viable alternative for treatment for cats who are deemed suitable with the situation. Downside is the cost.

My Foster Kitty Boy. He is on day 30 of treatment for wet FIP and doing well. We are from the sunny island of Koh Samui, Thailand.

Verificado

The main point is she’s still with me. In a few months, hopefully all will be behind me and she’ll live a long healthy life for many more years.

Verificado

My 8 yr old rescue has wet FIP. She is on day 54 and doing great. Fluid and inflammation are gone. Have faith. I hope the shots will work well for my fur baby.

Verificado

After eighty four days of injections on GS, my cat dusty became RESISTANT and only improved about 50%. We then switched him to FipMed real quick. We are now 65 days in and he’s due for bloodwk. Judging by outward appearances, he is back to normal, leaping and jumping and running and eating and doing all the things that he used to do. We are hoping that his blood work will show much improvement as well. Dusty has also battled with very severe anemia. But that is getting better also.

Verificado

My boy has been cured a few years and has been healthy since. Thanks to the existence of meds. And because cats are so intuitive, he knew we were helping him to feel better and, as a result, formed an incredible bond. They know!

Verificado

We were really early getting the diagnosis and treatment after what we thought was a reaction to her rabies and distemper shots. Labs weren’t horrible but pointing to FIP. It was her fever not responding to antibiotics that confirmed. As long as I am seeing improvement hold onto that and get as many calories as she can. I hope to see some playing really soon. We have 5 days of treatment now so still a long way to go.

Verificado

Injections are cheaper because the medication is delivered straight into the blood. Pills are more expensive as they contain more GS because through the stomach not all the GS is absorbed. Still, I prefer pills because it worked for Mon, especially from FipMed!

Verificado

My Humphrey. Two & half years cured & absolutely normal heathy beautiful cat. He was only a tiny kitten when he got wet FIP. The only problem is the constant supply of mice he keeps bringing us every day 😂 .

Verificado

I am wanting to switch to pill for sure. But my kitty abdomen is slightly rounded and the vet suggested an ultrasound to check for wet FIP before switching. The shot is too much for my kitty!

Verificado

Most parents do injections in the beginning…. it is recommended for the first 30 days usually… depending on your cat and then you can change to pills. I changed to pills because my cat is sensitive with needles… It was hurting so pills worked for me though. Thanks FipMed pills!
